National Research-Development Institute for Laser, Plasma and Radiation Physics - INFLPR
According to its regulation documents, the INFLPR conducts basic and applied research in the field of lasers, interaction of light with matter, plasmas and electron accelerators. INFLPR is involved in a large number of cooperative research projects with research institutions and universities, as well as with industrial partners. Large facilities as electron accelerators, short pulse high intensity lasers and scientific know-how are open to external researchers.

National Institute for Research and Development in Geology, Geophysics, Geochemistry and Remote Sensing - IGR
The Geological Institute of Romania is a National Research-Development Institute in the field of Geology, Geophysics, Geochemistry and Remote Sensing and its mission is to provide geological information and services at a national level. It is the institution authorised to draw up, edit and print national geological, hydrogeological, geophysical and metallogenetic maps at various scales. In addition, it ensures the correlation of national geological spatial data with those of neighboring countries, researches the distribution of geomagnetic, gravitational, geothermal and electromagnetic fields in Romania, develops integrated geonomic research, including geoinformational system (GIS), geoid and satellite image analysis and studies the dynamics of geological phenomena with natural hazard potential.
National Institute of Materials Physics
The National Institute for Materials Physics ( NIMP) Bucharest area of interest is in fundamental and applied research and development, with particular emphasis in the fields of solid state physics and materials research. NIMP develops as a CENTER OF EXCELLENCE for international cooperation (R&D projects and networks with support for EU, bilateral agreements) and high-level education (PhD, MSc, training courses) and provides a frame for interdisciplinary research in the materials science.
