National Institute of Research and Development in Mechatronics and Measurement Technique -INCDMTM
The National Institute of Research and Development in Mechatronics and Measurement Technique (INCDMTM) features as its main activity field both scientific (basic and applied) research and scientific development in the area of precision mechanics and mechatronics. Also, the work of INCDMTM is focused in developing and optimizing measurement techniques. The efforts of the researchers with INCDMTM aim at developing various mechatronic (conventional and unconventional) products and technologies.
National Research-Development Institute for Mining Safety and Explosion Protection - INSEMEX
The Institute is conducting dundamental and applied research, technological development in regulated areas of national public interest on risk assessment and prevention in activities with a risk of explosive and toxic atmospheres, including the use of explosives, environmental protection in areas affected by mining and related activities, testing and certification of equipment, training and attestation of personnel, rescue and mine closure activities, as well as the elaboration and application of regulations regarding the respective activities.
National Institute for Research-Development in Constructions and Urbanism and Sustainable Territorial Development "URBAN-INCERC"
The Institute is conducting research and development activities of public interest in the fields of construction, urbanism, sustainable territorial development and housing, which include: fundamental and applied research - sectoral and pre-normative, for substantiating the technical and economic regulations specific to the fields of activity; elaboration of technical and economic regulations in order to ensure the essential quality requirements imposed on the constructions and related installations, including in order to increase the energy performance of the constructions; technological development; performs specific regulatory activities, respectively documentation, testing, documentation in the fields of activity, audit, prototyping, analysis, synthesis, pilot programs, realization of functional and physical models, as well as in situ experiments of new products and technologies; creation of specialized databases;

The Institute of Solid Mechanics of the Romanian Academy (IMSAR) is an organisation for advanced fundamental and application research in the field of solid mechanics. It has 4 departments that are conducting resaerch in the fields of Dynamic Systems, Tribology, Deformable Media&Ultrasonics; Robotics&Mechatronics
