Institute for World Economy is an integrated part of the National Institute for Economic Researches as a component unit of the fundamental research system from the Romanian Academy. The Institute for World Economy has as its main objective to study the conjuncture of world economy on three major levels: 1) the economy of world countries; 2) the international commodity markets; 3) geopolitical and geostrategic position of world countries, the balance of economic power and the influences on the global economic agenda: energetic security, sustainable development, environmental changes, technological changes, etc.
