The Institute is conducting research and development activities of public interest in the fields of construction, urbanism, sustainable territorial development and housing, which include: fundamental and applied research - sectoral and pre-normative, for substantiating the technical and economic regulations specific to the fields of activity; elaboration of technical and economic regulations in order to ensure the essential quality requirements imposed on the constructions and related installations, including in order to increase the energy performance of the constructions; technological development; performs specific regulatory activities, respectively documentation, testing, documentation in the fields of activity, audit, prototyping, analysis, synthesis, pilot programs, realization of functional and physical models, as well as in situ experiments of new products and technologies; creation of specialized databases;

The National Institute for Research & Development in Informatics - ICI Bucharest was set up in 1970 and it is the most important institute in the field of research, development and innovation in information and communication technology (ICT) from Romania. The main activity of ICI Bucharest is the realization and implementation of research-development projects in the field of ICT, thus supporting the development of the information society.

The institute has developed a continuous activity for more than 50 years, dedicated to studies and researches in occupational risks prevention area, substantiation of legal framework of occupational safety and development of training system, as well as in practical solutions and technical assistance provided to companies in order to improve the work environment.

National Institute for Research and Development in Environmental Protection -INCDPM - has a wide experience in environmental protection and holds a remarkable portfolio in scientific research and technological development. The Institute is one of the oldest Institutions in Romania with uninterrupted activity has as objective the applied research and development in the field of human pathology, medical genetics, immunology, cellular and molecular medicine.
